OUR PHILOSOPHY
The philosophy behind the Observer is simple. Provide the people of Deerfield Beach, Hillsboro Beach and Lighthouse Point with a newspaper that serves their needs. In the Observer, you will find stories and information on local government, businesses, sports, events, schools and local entertainment.
The Observer has been published since 1962 and has earned the reputation of being the "community newspaper" of Deerfield Beach, Hillsboro Beach, Lighthouse Point and Pompano Beach and is the winner of five Florida Press Association Awards for Excellence. With a weekly circulation made available to over 30,000 readers, we have the opportunity of "growing up" with the communities which we serve.
Another feature that our readers find attractive is the fact that we not only report news, we participate in it. The Observer has a long history of sponsorships and participation in community affairs.
With the same community spirit we do our best to provide local residents with information about the business community serving consumer needs in our area. The Observer is a strong "local" news media which is welcomed by those who want it most...the local community.
