The Down syndrome and Autistic children are very precious and a blessing. I am very much involved with developmental and disadvantaged [kids] who ARE learning ways to be self sufficient. And I personally thank God for the wonderful choice that John McCain did in selecting Sarah Palin to be his Vice President. Giving birth to her son that she knew had Down Syndrome tells me a lot about this lady. She is a lady who will bring America back to us with the great family values we all knew. The Palin Family and McCain Family are great examples of what the American Family should be like. I know that John McCain and Sarah Palin will restore the great American values. I have seen many interviews of both and can proudly say that I am glad there are those who can speak out in truth. I just pray to God that IT WILL BE President McCain and Vice President Sarah Palin ... God bless America one nation UNDER GOD forever.

Reader urges: bus riders unite

Dear Editor,

My article of Sept. 4 was to try to get anyone and everyone who used the buses to come together and try to get someone and anyone who has any kind of clout (and they know who they are) to try and keep the buses going. Everyone, not only CVE riders, needs the buses. No one says we cannot join together and fight for what we need, but in today’s world, we have to fight to be noticed because too many hands are in the pot of gold and the taxpayers, who line the pot, are left out.

It’s a funny thing – people come here from other countries and complain and march and get whatever they can take from us and we, who pay taxes, can’t get what we’re paying for. Imagine that.
