To the Editor:

Hillsboro Blvd. is State Road 810, so why is the city of Deerfield spending 6 million dollars of CRA money to upgrade a state road?

Will the multi-family users in Century Village ever be made to pay the same base rates as every other multi-family user in the city?

B.D. ( Before Larry Deetjen) The Utilities Department and the Public Works had always been separate since they are so diverse. In July of 2003, Carl Peter was hired and given control of both departments. He was assured a position for 5 years. That period ends on July 31, 2008. Will he then retire and honor his commitment? And will the two departments be once again separated and given individual autonomy?

Since when is it permissible to have employees who steal from the city pay back from the benefits that they should have been stripped of from the beginning? Do you recall the employee who stole from the city parking meters? He not only served jail time but he was also stripped of all city benefits including his pension. When did the policy change?
